Annoncé à la fin du mois de juin, Combat Mission : Fortress Italy est maintenant disponible sur PC Windows et Mac OS X. Ce jeu de stratégie tactique très réaliste vous permettra de revivre l'opération Husky, c'est à dire le débarquement en Sicile qui a eu lieu entre le 9 juin et le 17 août 1943, ainsi que la conquêtes de l'Italie par les Alliés jusqu'à la fin de la guerre en 1945.
Il existe deux versions du jeu, exclusivement distribuées sur le site de Battlefront.com. Il y a tout d'abord une version digitale, mais aussi une une version livrée par courier qui contient en plus du DVD, un manuel du jeu de 100 pages. Combat Mission : Fortress Italy vous coûtera 55$.
This latest installment in the critically acclaimed Combat Mission series of tactical ground warfare simulations takes the players to Sicily in the year 1943, and the first Allied invasion of mainland Europe during World War Two. The “soft underbelly” of Europe turned out to be anything but, and the US forces in Combat Mission: Fortress Italy (including elite Rangers formations) encounter equally veteran German Wehrmacht (such as the Herman Goering Division) and Luftwaffe Feld Division, Italian Bersaglieri troops, new tanks and weapons, and unique steep, rocky and arid terrain.
